Gentlemen,
As discussed at the last DC Scotch Whiskey Club meeting, our efforts in Human Resources and Recruitment Management will be kicked into high-gear during the new year. While we have prestigious alumni in various foreign countries (Singapore, Texas), we will look for a small, concentrated growth in 2009. In line with our HR&R efforts, we must make sure that it is in line with our Marketing, PR and Community Outreach programs.
We discussed three (3) major recruitment efforts, and please feel free to comment against this so that we can agree to the new process at our next meeting -
1) Each current member will be allotted one nomination in the current year. Nominated persons must receive pre-approval from the hosting member prior to their attendance. Nominated persons will be confirmed or denied shortly after that attended meeting. Membership must be unanimously approved by attending members.
2) I will begin our draft for our formal invite to President Obama's for membership and attendance to our Spring Gala. This draft is to be reviewed at our next Scotch Club meeting.
3) We have been invited by our own distinguished (yet often logically flawed) Mr. Mandle to attend the Man-fest and All Male Fashion Revue at .... Crystal City. We will need Rob to confirm dates, whether or not we'll be able to get a booth / host a panel, and decide whether or not we will be attending.
As a final note - could somebody post the information to the blog concerning the next meeting at Jared's?

Sounds good to me. Spring Gala? That sounds cool, did we discuss that, but I was too drunk to be aware of it?
Jared is planning on hosting on Wednesday, February 4. He's at 16th and V, just up from Local 16. I'll remind him to send out an email.
